Dr. Bassam Abu Karaki
Dr. Bassam Abu Karaki received Ph.D. degree in Financial Economics from Mumbai University, India. In 2009, was appointed as a lecturer in economics at AHU. In September 2011, was appointed as a Head of the Economics Department, and coordinator of graduation projects of Business College. In 2012 he was appointed the Vice-Dean of College of Business Administration and Economics. He was a member of ASPIRE-TEMPUS project and participated in the capacity-building program at TEI in Greece and USC in Spain. He is currently the Director of Planning, Information & Quality Unit and the Director of IRO. He is the University coordinator of Erasmus+ and Erasmus Mundus PEACE & PEACE II projects and a member of EQTEL project. His research interests are primarily in the field of: Applied Economics, macroeconomic policies, and Finance (external debt).
